CAG Office tops 2025-26 Awards of Excellence, while FCI earns a special trophy for completing a hat-trick of AIPSSPB cricket titles

New Delhi: The All India Public Sector Sports Promotion Board (AIPSSPB) finalised its sports calendar for 2026-27, announced new office-bearers and honoured the best-performing public sector organisations at its Annual General Meeting and Awards Function held at the Airports Authority of India (AAI) Officers' Institute here on Monday.
The meeting was presided over by AIPSSPB President and Airports Authority of India Chairman Vipin Kumar, IAS.

The Board allotted hosting responsibilities for the upcoming season, with Coal India set to organise the athletics and golf championships, the CAG Office badminton, BHEL carrom, AAI cricket and the Cultural Meet, FCI football, Bank of Baroda table tennis and LIC volleyball. The Board also decided that if no organisation comes forward to host the hockey championship, AIPSSPB will organise the event.
Following the retirement of Board Secretary Gian Batra, Executive Director Suneel Dutt was unanimously appointed as the new Secretary. Girija Sukumaran, Executive Director (HRD and Training), LIC, was unanimously nominated as Vice-President, while Harpreet Tuteja, Chief General Manager, HPCL, was appointed Joint Secretary.

The Awards of Excellence for sports events conducted during 2025-26 were also presented. The CAG Office emerged as the overall winner, while the Food Corporation of India (FCI) finished runner-up. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) was named first runner-up and the Airports Authority of India (AAI) secured the second runner-up position.
FCI was also honoured with a special trophy for winning the AIPSSPB Cricket Tournament for the third consecutive year.
