A brilliant 74 (60 balls, 7x4s, 4x6s) by Delhi Ranji Trophy player Gagan Vats helped Carpediem India beat Aimil by three wickets in the Eliminator of the BR Sharma Champions Trophy Cricket Tournament being played at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Ghaziabad.

The win, which was also scripted by Hrithik Vats’s 33 not out and 3/31 as well as two-wicket hauls from Sachin Bhati and Gaurav Tomar enabled Carpediem India enter the final. They will play against York Ravindra Cricket Club.

Pratik Raman (48), Kapil Dagar (38), Vivek Cheeku (38) and Arvind Verma (3/36) performed for the losing team.

“Gagan Vats was give Player of the Match Award,” informed Krishna Kumar Balli, the organising secretary of the tournament.

Kartik’s ton, Siddhant’s all-round show power York Ravindra

Delhi Ranji Trophy Player Siddhant Sharma's brilliant all-round performance (60 runs and 3/53) as well as Kartik's century (132 off 61 balls, 13x4s 7x6s) and valuable contribution from Keshav Dabas (48) and Aditya Yadav 2/42, helped York Ravindra Cricket Club beat Carpediem India by three wickets win Qualifier 1 and enter the final of BR Sharma Champion Trophy Cricket Tournament.

The loss pushed Carpediem India to Eliminator which they won as mentioned above.

Carpediem India had scored 288/9 in 40 overs with Prashant Gujar (140 off 77 balls, 7x4s, 13x6s) powering the side. Mohammed Kaif made 29.

However, York Ravindra Cricket Club chased the target in 32 overs, reaching 292/7.
