Delhi conceded the first innings lead to Chandigarh in their fourth Ranji Trophy match after the home team overhauled the 276 scored by Himmat Singh’s team and took a 48-run lead.

If there is no result in the match, Chandigarh will walk away with three points and hurt Delhi’s chances of advancing into the next round.

Beginning the day at the overnight 63/1, the Chandigarh innings faltered as they were reduced to 164/5.

However, Ayush Sikka (24), Gurinder Singh (32), and Mayank Sindhu (44) took them past the Delhi score.

Ayush Badoni was the pick of Delhi bowlers with 4/57 while Sumit Mathur took 3/72.

Delhi were 32 without loss in response, still 16 runs adrift. They will now have to go for an outright win to avoid losing points.
