New Delhi: The Delhi Soccer Association (DSA) on Sunday adopted its amended Constitution at an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM), paving the way for elections on August 30 and aligning its governance framework with the National Sports Governance (NSG) Act, 2025, and the regulations of the All India Football Federation (AIFF).
The meeting, held at Hindi Bhawan, ITO, also discussed arrangements for the forthcoming elections, including the appointment of a Returning Officer and the constitution of committees to oversee the electoral process and sporting activities until a new executive body takes charge.
Paramjeet Singh, Treasurer of the Delhi Olympic Association, attended the meeting as an independent observer.
Members deliberated on the draft Constitution prepared by the Constitution Review Committee, discussing it article by article before approving and adopting the revised document with amendments suggested during the meeting.
The Ad Hoc Committee also proposed the appointment of an independent three-member panel to coordinate with the Election Panel and ensure the smooth conduct of the polls. The elections are scheduled for August 30, as announced at the previous EGM on July 12.

The House also approved the formation of a temporary three-member Competition Committee to oversee the association's football activities until the newly elected body assumes office.
In a statement after the meeting, the DSA thanked all 56 Council Members for unanimously adopting the amended Constitution, describing it as "a significant step towards transparent, democratic and progressive football administration." The association also acknowledged the role of observer Paramjeet Singh and thanked the media for witnessing what it termed a "historic" EGM.
The committees and appointments made during the meeting will function in accordance with the decisions ratified by the House and the provisions of the newly adopted Constitution.
