The senior selection committee of the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) has named an 18-member squad under the captaincy of Himmat Singh for the first two matches of Delhi’s Ranji Trophy campaign.

The selection committee meeting comprised Gursharan Singh (Chairperson), Bhaskar Pillai, Rajeev Vinayak, Surinder Khanna (Member, CAC), Sarandeep Singh (Chief Coach) and Rajan Manchanda (Joint Secretary, DDCA).

Priyansh Arya, the top-scorer in Delhi Premier League, did not find a place in the squad. Officials say that his performances will be counted while selecting white-ball cricket squads. 

Delhi play Chhattisgarh in the first match from October 11 in Raipur and then follow it with a game against Tamil Nadu from October 18.

Himmat Singh (captain), Ayush Badoni, Anuj Rawat, Sanat Sangwan, Dhruv Kaushik, Yash Dhull, Jonty Sidhu, Mayank Rawat, Kshitiz Sharma, Pranav Rajvanshi (wicketkeeper), Sumit Mathur, Navdeep Saini, Himanshu Chauhan, Simarjeet Singh*/Divij Mehra, Hrithik Shokeen, Harsh Tyagi, Money Grewal, Shivank Vashishth.

*Divij Mehra will travel only if Simarjeet Singh is deemed unfit.
