Sanand Taluka, Gujarat: The much-anticipated Khele Sanand Season 3, which commenced on September 17, 2025, has reached its halfway milestone, marking steady progress in its mission to promote holistic development among rural youth across Sanand Taluka.

Organised under the guidance of the Vijayi Bharat Foundation, the third season has witnessed enthusiastic participation from villages across the region. Designed to nurture not only athletic excellence but also discipline, teamwork and community engagement, the tournament has emerged as a major grassroots sporting platform in the area.

Strong participation and expanding reach

According to organisers, Season 3 has so far recorded participation from 7,160 young athletes representing 100 villages. A total of 385 matches have already been completed, reflecting the scale and smooth execution of the event.

This season features traditional Indian sports such as Kho Kho and Kabaddi, along with shooting volleyball. In addition, the Khele Sanand Athletics Meet 2025, held in December, added further momentum to the initiative by offering a competitive platform for track and field events.

Athletics meet draws widespread enthusiasm

The Athletics Meet has become a vibrant stage for rural youth to demonstrate speed, strength and endurance. Sprints, long-distance races and field events attracted strong participation from across villages. Organisers said the athletics component reinforces the broader vision of encouraging fitness, resilience and spirited competition among young athletes.

A notable highlight of Season 3 has been the active involvement of village Sarpanches, who have extended vital logistical support. From arranging venues and coordinating transport to mobilising local resources and ensuring special dietary requirements for players, their contribution has strengthened the tournament’s grassroots foundation. Their efforts have helped ensure the smooth conduct of matches across participating villages.

Excitement builds for second half

With several matches still to be played, anticipation is building as villages continue to rally behind their teams. Organisers expect the second half of the season to bring even more intense competition, stronger community bonding and inspiring stories of emerging rural talent.

Chairman and Director of the Vijayi Bharat Foundation, Shri Jalaj Dani, along with Directors Shri Dhanraj Nathwani, Shri Durgesh Agarwal and Shri Dilip Thaker, commended Team Khele Sanand for their impactful on-ground execution and for motivating the youth of Sanand through sport.

As Season 3 progresses, Khele Sanand continues to position itself as a transformative initiative fostering fitness, leadership and unity among rural communities.
