New Delhi: North East Delhi Member of Parliament Yogendra Chandolia on Friday conducted an inspection visit to Sharma Enclave colony under the Kirari Assembly constituency along with officials from the DDA, Municipal Corporation of Delhi, and Delhi Jal Board. He directed the officials to make proper drainage arrangements in the colony within one week.
Chandolia thanked the media for highlighting the problems of the colony and said that untimely waterlogging is not confined to Sharma Enclave alone but affects almost all colonies of the Kirari Assembly constituency. He held Anil Jha and Rituraj, who served as MLAs from 2008 to 2026, responsible for this criminal negligence.
He said that Anil Jha should clarify whether he ever allocated any funds from the MLA fund for Sharma Enclave. Despite being MLAs for 17 years, Anil Jha and Rituraj must explain how many times they raised Kirari’s waterlogging issue before the Delhi government led by Arvind Kejriwal or the earlier Congress government.
Chandolia expressed his gratitude to Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta for approving ₹29.42 crore for various development works in the Kirari Assembly constituency and stated that the BJP government in Delhi will now change the face of Kirari.
