Northern Railway Cricket Academy beat Sanskriti School

Northern Railway Cricket Academy scored 183 for four wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Lakshya Jangra made 97, Abhinav chipped in with 39 while Arnab Beniwal contributed 29 runs

The Northern Railway Cricket Academy's under-14 players proved their supremacy as they defeated Sanskriti School, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi by four runs in a friendly match played at the Sanskriti School grounds.

Sanskriti won the toss and elected to bowl. The Northern Railway Cricket Academy scored 183 for four wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Lakshya Jangra made 97, Abhinav chipped in with 39 while Arnab Beniwal contributed 29 runs.

Sanskriti School were bowled out for 179. Samyak Jain 44 and Kartik 49 were the top-scorers for the home team. Beniwal took two brilliant catches to tilt the game in Northern Railway's favour.

Prachi and Nargis Jahan also contributed significantly to the victory of Northern Railway Cricket Academy through fielding.

But it was left-arm wrist spinner Aditya Singh, whose four wickets for , broke the back of Sanskriti's resilience. Aditya has an action similar to Kuldeep Yadav and is quick through the air.

Seven-year-old medium-pacer Achintya Jha took two wickets while fellow medium pacer Vaibhav Singh also took two wickets for the winners.

Achintya started playing cricket six months and is part of the Delhi Public School, Mathura Road team.

Northern Railway Cricket Academy coach and DDCA State Panel umpire Neeraj Sharma guided the players in the match.
