Alliance Francaise de Delhi has invited residents of the Capital to indulge in sporting activities as well as the viewing of the Olympic Games in the official fanzone

The Alliance Francaise de Delhi has opened its doors to the residents of the Capital with sporting activities and an official fan zone as it celebrates the Olympic Games being held in in Paris.
The organisation, which was established to spread French language and culture in the city, has invited the residents to view the Olympics in its precincts through live screening.
There is a table tennis table, badminton makeshift net along with racquets, a fussball station as well as a basketball with basket for the visitors.
There is also a painting exhibition of Henri Landier, a 90-year-old artist, making his first visit to India.
“We will have a few more equipment in the coming days, like the exercise bike, treadmill and bench-press besides volleyball for the visitors from July 29 onwards,” said an official from Alliance Francaise de Delhi.
There was a sports workshop and live demonstration from 7 pm to 8 pm at the venue, followed by a live screening of Pink, Black and Blue (Les Roses et les Bleus) from 8 pm to 8.30 pm, which was followed by live music by DJ Sandy from 9 pm to 11 pm.
Over the next few days, French films related to sports will be showcased at the centre located in Lodhi Estate. These will include Marinette (biopic of soccer player Marinette Pichon) on July 29, The Triplets of Belleville (a tragedy in Tour de France) on July 31, Slalom (a film on a skiing star) on August 1, L'esprit Coubertin (a film on a shooting champion) on August 5, and Olympic Dream (a film on a badminton player) on August 9.
The live screening of the Olympics is taking place in the fanzone set up in ML Bhartia Auditorium.
