Railways Officers beat NBCC in league match

Sanjeet Kumar, captain of the Railway Officers' team, won the toss and elected to bat first, posting a total of 212 runs within the allotted 20 overs. Alind Shekhar contributed 64 runs, while Shashi Kumar and Ankit Gupta added 35 and 29 runs, respectively

New Delhi: The Railway Officers defeated NBCC XI by 101 runs in a league currently being played at the Karnail Singh Stadium here.

Sanjeet Kumar, captain of the Railway Officers' team, won the toss and elected to bat first, posting a total of 212 runs within the allotted 20 overs. Alind Shekhar contributed 64 runs, while Shashi Kumar and Ankit Gupta added 35 and 29 runs, respectively.

On the bowling front, Rahul Sharma claimed two wickets for 35 runs, Vidhan took two wickets for 32 runs, and Divyanshu secured one wicket for 29 runs.

In reply, the NBCC team could only manage to score 111 runs for the loss of 8 wickets within their allotted 20 overs. For NBCC, Milind contributed 29 runs, Amit Verma scored 22, and Rakesh Sahra added 15 runs.

Sumit took three wickets for 17 runs, while Rahul Kapoor claimed two wickets for 21 runs. NBCC captain KD Mahadev Swami honoured the players by presenting them with trophies, while RM Chhabra, the mentor of the Railway Officers' team, encouraged the players. The role of umpire for the match was performed by DDCA State Panel Umpire Neeraj Sharma.
