The Swiss German Christmas Market 2024, organised by the Embassy of Switzerland, has opened its doors to the public at its 3-E Nyaya Marg, Chanakyapuri venue in New Delhi.
The festival is being held on November 30 and December 1 and is open from 11 am to 7 pm on Saturday and 11 am to 6 pm on Sunday.
“We invite all our Indian and international friends to join us for our Swiss German Christmas Market at the Swiss Embassy this weekend. Simply come, pay entrance fee and enjoy,” wrote Christie Orga, a member of the Embassy of Switzerland.
“We are offering German and Swiss delicacies, artisanal foods, Christmas crafts, shopping presents for your loved ones, Christmas decorations and more. We are looking forward to seeing you there!”
The visitors are required to carry their photo identity cards.
The entrance is free for kids below 12 while for those above that age is Rs 400.
The Parent Council of the German School in New Delhi are the main organisers in collaboration with the Embassy of Switzerland.
The festival comprises bakery items among others including Rosti potatoes with Raclette cheese.
Switzerland is home to the best Christmas Markets in the world. The Basel Christmas Market is very famous.
