Agamjyot Singh Jaggi, an 18-year-old opening batsman, has emerged as one of the most consistent and impactful performers in the ongoing Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) U-19 Cooch Behar selection trials in the Capital.

The right-hander has scored centuries in both the trial games and sent a strong message to the selectors. He is the only player in the Delhi U19 trials to have scored two consecutive centuries across two trial matches.

Playing for Team D in the first match (November 6-7) against Team C, Agamjyot delivered a self-assured unbeaten 100 before being retired by the selectors.

His innings came against a strong bowling lineup that included Pradyuman Sanan, Vanam Agarwal and Rudradev Yadav — all proven DPL or state-level players.

Carrying on with the momentum, Agamjyot represented Team B in the second match (November 10-11) against Team D, where he once again showcased composure and class. He remained not out on 101, once again retired by the selectors after reaching his century. The knock came against bowlers such as Varun Vanjani, Kanav Bhatia and Pranit Tiwari.

Known for commanding strokeplay through covers, mid-on and mid-off regions, Agamjyot’s centuries hint at maturity and temperament for multi-day format.

As the multi-day Cooch Behar Trophy begins on November 16, it will be hard to ignore Agamjyot who has also scored over a 1,000 runs in DDCA League in the 2024-25 season.
