Kolar, Karnataka: Three-time winner this season, Ridhima Dilawari returned to the top of the leaderboard with a flawless 4-under 68 to take a one-shot lead after the opening round of the 10th leg of the Hero Women's Pro Golf Tour at Zion Hills Golf County.

Ridhima, who finished tied-eighth and tied-ninth in the previous two legs, carded a bogey-free round to move ahead of a chasing pack comprising last week's champion Vani Kapoor, seasoned campaigner Amandeep Drall and Vidhatri Urs, all of whom signed for 3-under 69.

Looking to regain her Ladies European Tour status and build momentum ahead of the Hero Women's Indian Open later this year, Ridhima made the perfect start with a birdie on the opening hole before reeling off eight straight pars. She added three more birdies on the 10th, 13th and 14th holes and safely negotiated the closing stretch with four consecutive pars to end the day in front.

Vani Kapoor, five-time winner last year, had seven birdies but she also gave away two bogeys and a double bogey in her round of 69. Vidhatri Urs, who had three wins in a row in 2024, her first year as a pro, had six birdies against three bogeys for her 69, while Amandeep Drall had five birdies against back-to-back bogeys on the seventh and the eighth.

Saanvi Somu, who has been knocking on the doors of her first win on the Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour, first as an amateur and now as a pro, was all alone in the fifth place with 1-under 71 that had one bogey on the front nine and two birdies on the back nine.

Ananya Datar and Kashika Misra carded even par 72 each to be tied for the sixth place, even as Mannat Brar and Riya Jadon shared the eighth place with 1-over 73 each.

A big bunch of six players Prakruthi Sastry, Jasmine Shekar, Shagun Narain, Neha Tripathi and amateurs Ananthi Vivek and Ananyaa Sood shared the 10th place. Ananthi plays at Zion Hills and trains with Tarun Sardesai here. All carded 2-over 74 each.

Among the big names further behind were Tvesa Malik (75) in Tied-16th alongside young Lavanya Jadon.
