FS Banking defeated Genpact Jaipur-Jodhpur to clinch the 13th Rahul Dixit Memorial Cricket Tournament – a tournament held in the memory of Rahul Dixit, a former Delhi Ranji Trophy player.

The match held at the Suntan Greens in Gurugram on the Sunday gone-by saw Genpact Jaipur-Jodhpur scoring 174/1 in their 20 overs. Vikas Jain delivered a masterclass — an unbeaten 85 off 55 balls, and he was ably supported by Puneet Sharma’s steady 70 not out off 62 balls.

FS Banking didn’t back down. In a stunning chase, Mohit Khatri turned the game on its head with a blazing 67 off 31 balls, supported by nerves of steel from the middle order. It all came down to the last over — and FS Banking crossed the line at 178/8 in 19.1 overs, clinching the title by two wickets.

Khatri was adjudged Player of the Match.

Late Rahul Dixit's wife Rupa, daughter Rani and son Sumiran along with DDCA official Anil Passi give award to the Player of the Tournament

The tournament involved five teams, four of which are from Delhi and one was from Jaipur-Jodhpur, and was played over five weekends. The teams belonged to Banking, Insurance, Hi-Tech, Consumer & Healthcare and Manufacturing verticals of Genpact.

Dixit, who was a batsman, passed away at the young age of 47. His father JN Dixit, an alumnus of Zakir Husain College and Indian School of International Studies, now part of JNU, was a diplomat, who served as the country’s second National Security Advisor and India's Ambassador and High Commissioner in various countries.
