The Ferozeshah Kotla ground of the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi will host three of the remaining 13 Indian Premier League (IPL) league matches when the cash-rich tournament resumes in India on May 17.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the new schedule on Monday, days after the tournament had to be stopped due to the India-Pakistan tension.

As per the initial schedule, only one match remained in Delhi and that was on May 11 between Delhi Capitals and Gujarat Titans.

However, as per the latest schedule released by the BCCI, the Delhi Capitals and Gujarat Titans on May 18, the Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals match on May 20 and the Sunrisers vs Kolkata Knight Riders match on May 25 will be held in the national capital.

Jaipur's Sawai Mansingh Stadium will also host three matches while M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow and the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad will host two games each.

Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium will play host to one match.

There was speculation that the remainder of the IPL could be hosted in UAE. But it seems the IPL has got the go-ahead from the government and security agencies to host the tournament in India.
