Delhi batsman Samarth Seth powered to 67 off 38 balls, hitting eight fours and three sixes, as he took SS Nalanda to a 31-run win over Pankshi Infratech in the Powerknack Cricket Tournament 2025 at the Trident 2.0 Cricket Stadium in Ghaziabad.

The left-handed Seth, who has the experience of playing first-class cricket in Sri Lanka and has represented Delhi till the under-25 level, had a fruitful outing in the recently concluded Delhi Premier League where he opened the batting for Purani Dilli 6.

Seth shared a 70-run first wicket partnership with Om Saini (27 of 20 balls) -- all the runs made entirely in the Powerplay stage – as he helped his team end with 207/8 in 20 overs. Seth was dismissed on the first ball of the 16th over soon after his team went past 150.

Pankshi lost an early wicket but then a 78-run second wicket partnership between Yugdeep Saini (46 off 33 balls) and Shivam Choudhary (48 off 26 balls) set a strong platform. Tight bowling made the scoring tough and even though they seven wickets in hand in the last six overs, the pressure of getting the remaining 80 runs was too much.

In the end, it was a comfortable win for SS Nalanda.
