The 5th PSPB Baba Deep Singh Basketball Tournament concluded with thrilling finals, as Stunners Academy and Kirori Mal College claimed titles, while standout performances from Dhani Dhama, Dev Kapoor, and Hardik Sharma defined the event

New Delhi: The 5th PSPB Baba Deep Singh Basketball Tournament (Men & Women), organized by Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College, University of Delhi, concluded on April 13, 2026. After a series of competitive league matches and semifinals, the tournament culminated in an exciting final stage.

In the women’s final, Stunners Academy secured a narrow victory over Gargi College with a score of 72–67. Dhani Dhama of Stunners Academy was awarded both Player of the Match and Player of the Tournament for her outstanding performance.

The men’s final was a closely contested encounter that extended into extra time. Kirori Mal College edged past SGTB Khalsa College with a thrilling 79–78 win. Dev Kapoor of Kirori Mal College was named Player of the Match, while Hardik Sharma from SGTB Khalsa College earned the Player of the Tournament award.

The closing ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Prof. Rajni Abbi, Director of South Campus, along with distinguished guests Mr. Mukesh Kalia (President, Delhi Basketball Association), Mr. Pankaj Watts (Advisor, PSPB), Mr. Ashok Rangeen (General Secretary, DBA), and Dr. Susheel Kumar (Assistant Director, DUSC). Principal Prof. Gurmohinder Singh and Dr. Inderpreet Kaur (D.P.E.) also joined in presenting awards to the winners and runners-up.

The tournament was sponsored by the Petroleum Sports Promotion Board and Ayouth Veda, and was live-streamed on Indian Live Sports Hub.
