New Delhi: Father and son combination playing together is very rare on a cricket field. Last season, it was Parampreet Singh and his father Parvinder Singh who took field for Radhey Shyam Cricket Club in a DDCA League match.

But last week, it wasn't just one but two father-son combinations who turned out in the same match.

Sanjay Bhatia, who is 62 and plays occasionally, and 20-year-old son Rudra Bhatia (left pic) as well as coach Sonal Gidwani (44) and his 14-year-old son Veervardhan Gidwani turned out for Roop Nagar Cricket Club in a match against Canara Bank Staff Cricket Team in the DDCA T20 League cricket match played at the Central Secretariat Ground 2.

Batting first, Canara Bank Staff Cricket Team scored 180/8 in 20 overs with Dheeraj Malik making 69 not out off 52 balls (7x4s, 1x6). Tarun made 43 off 18 balls.

Rudra Bhatia took 1/34 like three others -- Akash Veer (1/28), Sidak Chandwani (1/52) and Sharang Asthana (1/23). Aditya Bajaj picked 3/18.

Roop Nagar CC, in response, scored 184/3 in 18.1 overs. Bhavishya Malik hit 101 in 56 balls while Veervardhan Gidwani hit 43 off 36 balls.

Sonal Gidwani is former Delhi cricketer Hari Gidwani's nephew. Neither of the two fathers got to bat or bowl.
