Golden Hawks, RR Gymkhana set up title clash in DDCA Hot Weather

Golden Hawks beat FCI while RR Gymkhana beat Sonnet Club to enter the final of the DDCA Hot Weather Cricket Tournament

Pranav Pant’s all-round show (70 and 3/25) and left-handed opening batsman Ankit Kumar’s 60 helped Golden Hawks beat Food Corporation of India (FCI) by seven wickets and enter the final of the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) Hot Weather Cricket Tournament at the St Stephen’s College Ground.  

FCI were bowled out for 194 in 38 overs with Arjun Raparia making 65 and Mayank Rawat scoring 54. However, the Hawks chased the target in 28 overs to set up a title clash with Rohtak Road Gymkhana who defeated Sonnet Club by five wickets to advance to the final.

The RR Gymkhana win was built on Shresth Yadav’s 96 and Dhruv Kaushik’s 40 as well as Sumit Mathur’s 52 not out.

Brief scores (FCI vs Golden Hawks):  FCI 194/10 in 38 overs (Arjun Raparia 65, Mayank Rawat 54, Umang Sharma 38, Pranav Pant 3/25, Mohammed Bilal 2/24) lost to Golden Hawks 195/3 in 28 overs (Pranav Pant 70, Ankit Kumar 60, Arjun Raparia 2/15) by seven wickets.

Brief scores (Sonnet Club vs RR Gymkhana): Sonnet Club 254/8 in 40 overs (Sanat Sangwan 87, Shivam Kanojia 67, Akash Mishra 3/40 ) lost to Rohtak Road Gymkhana 255/5 in 35 overs (Shresth Yadav 96, Sumit Mathur 52, Dhruv Kaushik 40) by five wickets.
