New Delhi: Two of Delhi cricket's brightest young talents, Siddharth Joon and Arnav Bugga were on display, hitting big shots as they helped Uday Bhan Cricket Academy thrash Rajinder Nagar Colts by eight wickets in a league encounter of the 12th Sahibzada Zorawar Singh and Sahibzada Fateh Singh Cricket Tournament at the SGTB Khalsa Ground here on Saturday.
Skipper Joon hit 49 off 20 balls while Bugga made an unbeaten 46 off 22 to wrap up an emphatic victory.
"Thanks to our quick chase, we have managed to get a net run rate of over six and that will help us qualify even if we lose by a big margin," said Joon (in top pic).
He hit six sixes, including one switch-hit off Rushal Saini.
Joon has had a great start to the local cricket season which peaks in Delhi's summer with great run of scores. He hit 70 and 47 in two matches of Empress Cricket League in Gurugram. He then followed it up with 140 off 38 balls in the first match of this tournament, the Sahibzada T20 cricket. That 140 helped the team chase 190 in 12 overs.

Bugga too was unforgiving.
"It helped that we had to chase a low target. We had to maintain intent and play naturally. I was choosing the ball and hitting it," said Bugga, who has also had a string of good scores in the lead-up to the summer.
He hit 130 in a tournament in Sidhi in MP, and a 45-ball 50 in an Indian Oil sponsored tournament in Chhindwara while chasing 130. He hit a 12-ball 37 in the second match there. Then he followed it up with a 20-ball 41 in Burhar.
Batting first, Rajinder Nagar Colts were bundled out for 125 in 18.2 overs. Vansh Mehra top-scored with a brisk 39 off 22 balls, while Vansham Tomar chipped in with 22 late in the innings. Aman Saini starred with the ball, tearing through the batting order with a superb 5/24, ably supported by Subhash Yadav (2/23).
In response, Uday Bhan made light work of the chase, racing to 128/2 in just 9.2 overs.
Aman Saini was named Man of the Match for his five-wicket haul.
