A few days ago, at the Tyagmurti GG Dutt Memorial Cricket Tournament on SGTB Khalsa College Grounds, Yash Dhull sat forlorn in one corner after he had failed to score big on return from injury.

The former India Under-19 World Cup-winning captain had been out injured and was making his way back as he found an opportunity to play for Rajnigandha Achievers Club. However, he could make only eight on return.

"I am thinking of playing a few more matches (Delhi cricket circuit) to get back into groove," said Dhull who will eye sound performance in the Delhi Premier League and the upcoming domestic season.

On Tuesday, he got some confidence-boosting runs, making 69 off 45 balls (9x4s, 2x6s) as captain of the Bal Bhavan Cricket Academy.

Although his knock was overshadowed by the century (106 off 51 balls; 6x4s, 10x6s) scored by right-hander Dev Lakra, it eased a lot of nerves in Delhi cricket circles.

Bal Bhavan Cricket Academy were bowled out for 345 in 38.5 overs with Ankit Bisht taking 4/42 and Suraj Rathore picking 3/61.

In response, Friends Club were bowled out for 284 in 35.1 overs with Basit Bashir taking 3/24 and Kirit Kaushik picking 3/72.

Off-spinner Hrithik Shokeen took 2/50.
