Gallant Sports, India’s leading sports infrastructure company, has successfully built a new AstroTurf hockey ground in Baijalpur, Haryana, under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL).

The ground, developed at a cost of Rs 7.50 crore, was inaugurated on August 29, 2025 by Member of Rajya Sabha, Subhash Barala. The facility brings much-needed sports infrastructure to a region with deep roots in hockey but limited access to modern training grounds.

The Baijalpur hockey ground will provide aspiring players in the area with a professional-quality facility for regular training, local competitions, and grassroots development. It is expected to encourage greater participation in the sport and strengthen the local hockey ecosystem.

Speaking on the project, Nasir Ali, Founder & CEO, Gallant Sports & Infra., said, “Gallant Sports has always worked with the vision of taking quality sports infrastructure to every corner of India. This new hockey ground in Baijalpur is another step in that journey. We hope it will inspire young players to take up the sport with determination and help nurture the next generation of talent from rural India.”

With over 700 projects completed across the country, Gallant Sports has built a reputation for delivering world-class facilities for schools, universities, corporates, and government bodies. The company has also successfully developed several FIH-certified hockey fields, FIFA-certified football fields in India, along with infrastructure for athletics, and multi-sport arenas.

This new ground adds to Gallant Sports’ growing legacy of enabling grassroots sports development and ensuring athletes at every level have access to quality infrastructure.
