New Delhi: Indraprastha College for Women, University of Delhi, celebrated Samanvay 2026, its annual showcase of talent and achievement, bringing together students, faculty, distinguished guests, and parents to reflect on milestones and shared aspirations. As it approaches its centenary, the College continues to nurture individuals who make meaningful contributions across diverse fields.
The event was graced by Delhi Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu, who underscored the institution’s rich legacy and its enduring role in shaping leaders, innovators, and changemakers. Echoing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision on women’s education and empowerment, he spoke about the evolving roles of women and stressed the importance of critical thinking in a rapidly changing world. He urged students to remain adaptable, solution-oriented, and rooted in strong values while contributing to society, and highlighted the growing influence of artificial intelligence on future career pathways.
The ceremony was also attended by Balaram Pani, Dean of Colleges, University of Delhi, and was presided over by Principal Prof. Poonam Kumria. In her address, she highlighted IPCW’s strong academic foundation, collaborations, and its alignment with evolving educational frameworks through NEP-driven initiatives and diverse academic engagements. She also emphasized sustainability as a core aspect of campus life and outlined initiatives supporting student well-being, including mental health programmes and financial aid to promote inclusive education.
A key highlight of the event was the launch of the College’s new official website, aimed at improving accessibility and streamlining academic and administrative processes.
A total of 73 students, including those from the enabling unit, were honoured for excellence in academics and co-curricular activities. The celebration concluded with vibrant cultural performances.
