New Delhi: The Delhi Development Authority (DDA), on Saturday (November 29), inaugurated hot air balloon ride in the national capital from the Asita East Park.

People were invited to gaze at the views of Yamuna floodplains, city skyline and surrounding green spaces. Around 30 people took the ride on Saturday.

Locals who took the ride witnessed an amazing view of the Yamuna, Humayun's Tomb, Sundar Nursery and Akshardham Temple.

An official was quoted by Hindustan Times as saying, “We have only started Asita only for now and the Bansera will be started over the next few days as we have got good response from the public.”

Each ride costs around Rs 3,000 along with GST and lasts around 10 minutes. But on Saturday, however, the price was Rs 2,360 per ride. The rides will remain open from 3.30 pm to 7 pm every day, according to the DDA.

Operations will run for four hours a day initially. The duration and number of sessions may be increased later if there is a positive response from the crowd.
