New Delhi: RP Cricket Academy, easily the strongest women's cricket outfit in the national capital, once again proved why they are so formidable.
The Nazma Khan-led side swept aside Faridabad United by eight wickets on Saturday, in the 3rd Kalpana Chawla Memorial Cricket Tournament underway at the Siri Fort Sports Complex and Gargi College ground.
Batting first, the Faridabad United team was dismissed for 89 runs in 36.4 overs. Triveni top-scored with 29 runs, while Drishti Sharma added 23 runs. Triveni eventually earned the Fighter of the Match Award.
For RPCA, former India under-19 all-rounder Purunika Sisodia delivered a lethal bowling performance, claiming three wickets for a mere six runs. Tanisha Singh also put in a creditable performance, taking two wickets for just two runs, while Tarini Joshi claimed two wickets for 14 runs.
The target of 90 did not bother RPCA much as they steamrolled the opposition, reaching the target in just 13.5 overs losing just two wickets. Opener Varuu hammered 59 off 53 balls (10x4s, 1x6).'

With the low target, RPCA skipper Nazma decided to experiment and provide opportunities to youngsters by sending them at the top.
In the match played on Friday, Cricket Academy of Narwal delivered a stellar performance, securing an impressive four-wicket victory over the Noida Wonder Girls at the Siri Fort Sports Complex.
The Cricket Academy of Narwal successfully chased down a huge target, posting a score of 220/6 to win by four wickets.

Nishu Singh gets Player of the Match Award
The star of this victory was the 'Player of the Match,' Nishu Singh, who displayed exceptional batting skills to score 88 runs off 82 balls, an innings that included 11 fours and one six. Apart from her, Namita Singh contributed 41 runs, while Suman Sandhu added 24 runs to the total.
For the Noida Wonder Girls, Shruti Singh claimed two wickets for 21 runs, while Priya Khasa took two wickets for 35 runs.
Earlier in the match, the Noida Wonder Girls had posted a total of 216/6 within their allotted 40 overs. For the Noida outfit, Monica scored 56 runs, followed by Urvashi Gupta with 50 runs and Riya Rawat with 39 runs.
