New Delhi: Forty six runs in one over. That is what Haryana's 19-year-old Ranji Trophy player Ashish Siwach scored against fellow teenager Siddhant Joon to set his team Rann Star on course to a six-wicket win over Uday Bhan Academy and a place in the final of the 12th Sahibzada Zorawar Singh and Sahibzada Fateh Singh T-20 Cricket Tournament 2026 underway at the SGTB Khalsa College in the Capital.
Faced with a target of 238 after Uday Bhan had scored 237/4 in 20 overs on the back of Siddharth Joon's 69 off 24 balls and Samarth Seth's 60 off 41 balls, Rann Star began well. They hammered 124 runs in the powerplay.
It was the sixth over of the match in which Siwach took the 46 runs.
"The target was high so we had to go all out right from the start," said Siwach, who scored 82 off 24 balls (8x6s, 8x4s).
"We managed just 6-7 runs in the first over but then we made up for it in the other powerplay overs."
Siwach represented Haryana in two Ranji games this season. He has also played one List A game as well as eight T20s.

In reply, Rann Star chased down the target in 19.2 overs, finishing at 241/4 and winning the match by 6 wickets. Besides Siwach, Abhay Chauhan also played a key role with 73 runs off 35 balls, including six fours and five sixes. Kunal stayed not out on 41 to guide the team home.
Siwach was adjudged Player of the Match. Rann Star will now face HCA Pioneer, who beat SRK Technology 11 by 27 runs in the other semifinal.
Batting first, HCA set a formidable target of 208 for five.
