Dhruv Singh's ton powers Bal Bhavan into Lala Raghubir Hot Weather Final

Dhruv Singh's unbeaten 111 and Yash Bhatia's 83 helped Bal Bhavan Dwarka post 342/8 before crushing Rann Star Club by 171 runs in the semifinal to set up a title clash with Noida Wonders

New Delhi: An unbeaten century by Dhruv Singh and a fluent knock from Yash Bhatia propelled Bal Bhavan Dwarka into the final of the 49th All India Lala Raghubir Singh Hot Weather Prize Money Cricket Tournament after they outclassed Rann Star Club by 171 runs in the semifinal at the Modern School grounds, Barakhamba Road.

Opting to bat, Bal Bhavan Dwarka piled up an imposing 342 for 8 in their allotted 40 overs. Dhruv Singh played a sensational innings of 111 not out off just 58 deliveries, peppering the boundary with nine fours and seven sixes. He received excellent support from Yash Bhatia, who struck a stylish 83 off 65 balls, including 11 fours and three sixes. Yajas R. Sharma added further impetus to the innings with a brisk 66 off 41 balls, smashing four boundaries and five sixes.

Facing a daunting target of 343, Rann Star Club struggled to keep pace with the required run rate and were eventually bowled out for 171 in 22.3 overs. The lone bright spot for the side was a breathtaking counterattack by Abhay Chauhan, who hammered 87 off only 22 deliveries, an innings studded with six fours and ten towering sixes.

Bal Bhavan's bowlers maintained control throughout the chase, with Suryakant Chauhan emerging as the chief destroyer, claiming four wickets for 23 runs. Agrim Sharma produced an economical spell to finish with two wickets for just two runs, while Yajas R. Sharma capped an excellent all-round display by taking two wickets for 32 runs. For Rann Star Club, Shubham Dubey was the most successful bowler with figures of 3 for 66.

Dhruv Singh was adjudged Man of the Match for his match-winning unbeaten century. The award was presented by coach Randhir Singh in recognition of his outstanding performance.

With this emphatic victory, Bal Bhavan Dwarka advanced to the tournament final, where they will take on Noida Wonders in what promises to be an exciting title clash. Cricket fans will be eagerly anticipating the championship encounter between two of the competition's strongest teams.
