New Delhi: Harshit Sethi produced an impressive all-round performance to guide Noida Wonders to a comfortable six-wicket victory over Sporting Club in the 49th All India Lala Raghubir Singh Hot Weather Prize Money Cricket Tournament at the Modern School Ground, Barakhamba Road.
Batting first, Sporting Club struggled against a disciplined Noida Wonders bowling attack and were bundled out for 163 in 26.1 overs. Kunal Sangwan top-scored with a fighting 58, while Rishabh Drall and Hardik Sharma chipped in with 28 runs each.
The Noida bowlers shared the spoils, with Harsh Tyagi leading the charge with impressive figures of three for 16. Daksh Chandel also claimed three wickets, conceding 24 runs, while Harshit Sethi made a valuable contribution with two for 34.
Chasing a modest target of 164, Noida Wonders raced to 166 for 4 in just 23.4 overs. Priyanshu Pandey played a scintillating knock of 58 off 34 deliveries, smashing three boundaries and six sixes to put his team firmly in control of the chase.
Harshit Sethi continued his fine outing with the bat, scoring a crucial 45, while Tarun Bisht remained unbeaten on 40 to ensure Noida Wanderers crossed the finish line with ease.
For his match-winning all-round display of 45 runs and two wickets, Harshit Sethi was adjudged Man of the Match.
Mount defeat Delhi Cricket Hub
In another match, Mount Cricket Club signed off their campaign in style with a dominant nine-wicket victory over Delhi Cricket Hub. Batting first, Delhi Cricket Hub were bowled out for 117 in 27.1 overs, with Ranji Trophy cricketer Hiten Dalal top-scoring with 36 and Sayansh Bora contributing 24. Vishal Rai starred with the ball for Mount Cricket Club, claiming 3 for 21, while Manas Joshi (3/9) and Saksham Gehlot (2/21) provided excellent support.
Mount Cricket Club then made light work of the chase, reaching 121 for 1 in just 14.5 overs. Yugal Saini struck a fluent 57, while Yamit Sehrawat remained unbeaten on 52 off 31 balls, hitting five fours and three sixes. Vishal Rai was adjudged Man of the Match for his match-winning spell, while Hiten Dalal received the Fighter of the Match award for his battling knock. Although Mount Cricket Club bowed out of the tournament, they ended their campaign on a high with a comprehensive victory and several impressive individual performances.
