New Delhi: HCA Pioneer cruised into semifinals of the 12th Sahibzada Zorawar Singh and Sahibzada Fateh Singh T-20 Cricket Tournament 2026 at S.G.T.B. Khalsa College with a 28-run win over Swami Shraddhanand College in their quarterfinal.
Batting first, HCA Pioneer racked up an imposing 239/5 in 20 overs. Swastik Chhikara led the charge with a blistering 85 off 41 balls, smashing eight fours and six sixes. Jasmeet Nain provided explosive support with a 27-ball 60, while Aakshaye Dubey chipped in with 35 to maintain the relentless scoring pace.
Chasing 240, Swami Shraddhanand College mounted a spirited response but closed at 211/5. Dipesh Balyan dazzled with an unbeaten 79 off 33 deliveries, and Shresth Yadav added 44, yet the steep target remained out of reach. HG starred with the ball, claiming 3/46, while Luv Budhwar took two wickets. Chhikara was adjudged Man of the Match for his match-setting knock.
In another quarterfinal, SRK Technology 11 secured an 18-run victory over RP Singh Cricket Academy (MM Public School) to book their semifinal berth.
After electing to bat, SRK Technology 11 posted 190/5 in 20 overs. Parth Goswami anchored the innings with a composed unbeaten 81 off 57 balls, hitting six fours and four sixes. Gaurav Gaur contributed a brisk 38 off 20 balls, and Saksham Rai added 27 to keep the momentum intact.
RP Singh Cricket Academy fought hard in reply but were restricted to 172/9. Aryan Rana struck a quickfire 55 off 30 balls, while Alizan Alam remained unbeaten on 45 off 28, but the chase fell short. Money Grewal impressed with figures of 3/23, and Avinash Thapa also claimed three wickets. Goswami earned the Man of the Match award for his decisive unbeaten 81.
