Young Keshav Singh Dalal continued his good form, which has seen him get some big scores this season, with yet another century as he blitzed to 113 not out off 54 balls (13x4s, 8x6s) to help Rann Star Cricket Club beat Bright Cricket Club by six wickets in the Lala Raghubir Singh Memorial Cricket Tournament underway at the Modern School Grounds, Barakhamba Road.

Dalal, who had helped Mount race to title win with a fighting century in the final of the Laxman Dass Memorial Cricket just 11 days ago, came into this match on the back of another quick century (126 off 53 balls) for Food Corporation of India (FCI) against Delhi Audit in the DDCA League. So, he has scored three massive and dominating centuries in 11 days.

"We were chasing a target, so we were planning according to that," said the 22-year-old resident of Hauz Khas in Delhi, who is on stipend with FCI.

Dalal is playing this tournament for the third successive year but he wants to make it count this time.

"Last year (the 47th edition in 2024), I was getting 30s and 40s. But this time I wanted to score big. These are all big tournaments in Delhi, so I have to make my performances count in these," he says.

"We lost two wickets in the powerplay, so I took some time and then picked the bowlers to hit out at."

He milked 28 runs against the young and talented off-spin bowling all-round Rushal Saini and also took 25 runs against medium-pacer Lakshay Garg.

Bright Cricket Club were all out for 277 in 39.5 overs with No.5 Krish Yadav making 91 off 77 balls (12x4s, 2x6s). Aman Jainwal hit 50 off 32 balls (3x4s, 4x6s).

Tejas Baroka took 4/54 in 7.3 overs.

Rann Star then lost two early wickets with both Sarthak Ranjan and Sujal Singh departing. But then Vaibhav Kandpal, another young batsman to watch out for, smashed 59 off 27 balls (7x4s, 4x6s) and added 93 runs for the third wicket.

Skipper Pawan Negi, once sold for Rs 8.5 crore in IPL auction to emerge as the most expensive uncapped player then, hit an unbeaten 66 off 40 balls (5x4s, 6x6s) to seal the game in Rann Star's favour.
