Leading wellness experts, cultural figures and yoga enthusiasts gather at the National Gallery of Modern Art to mark the occasion through a unique blend of mindfulness, art and India's rich heritage

New Delhi: The National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA), under the Ministry of Culture, marked International Yoga Day 2026 with a special celebration that blended wellness, mindfulness and cultural heritage. The event brought together yoga enthusiasts, artists and dignitaries, including NGMA Director General Dr. Sanjeev Kishor Goutam, yoga expert Hitesh Yoga, Jiva Ayurveda CEO Madhusudan Chauhan and renowned aromatherapy pioneer Dr. Blossom Kochhar.
Hosted within one of India’s premier cultural institutions, the celebration highlighted the intrinsic relationship between yoga and art—both timeless forms of expression that cultivate awareness, discipline, creativity and inner transformation. While art becomes a medium of expression and reflection, yoga creates harmony between mind, body and consciousness.The morning featured engaging sessions around Yoga, Ayurveda, Aroma Therapy and Facial Yoga, encouraging participants to reconnect with India’s traditional wisdom and embrace holistic wellbeing.
