New Delhi: Outer Delhi Warriors and Collage Sports Club booked their places in the final of the prestigious 51st All India Goswami Ganesh Dutt Memorial Cricket Tournament after registering emphatic victories in their respective semi-final encounters, setting up an exciting title clash in the 2026 edition of the tournament.

The second semi-final witnessed a batting masterclass from Outer Delhi Warriors as they overwhelmed East Delhi Riders by a massive 148 runs. Riding on a breathtaking century from Himmat Singh, the Warriors posted one of the highest totals of the tournament before their bowlers completed a comprehensive victory.

Asked to bat first, Outer Delhi Warriors unleashed a relentless assault on the East Delhi Riders bowling attack, piling up a staggering 292 for 5 in their allotted 16 overs. The innings was dominated by Himmat Singh, who produced a sensational display of power-hitting, smashing 125 runs off just 37 deliveries. His explosive knock included five boundaries and an incredible 15 sixes, leaving the opposition bowlers with no answers.

Himmat received excellent support from Sarthak Ranjan, who provided a blistering start with 65 runs from only 25 balls. The duo laid a solid platform before Super Sub Tejasvi added further momentum with a rapid 44 off just 16 deliveries. Akshay Saini then ensured the innings finished on a high note, remaining unbeaten on 26 as the Warriors approached the 300-run mark.

East Delhi Riders struggled to contain the aggressive batting throughout the innings. Lovnish was the only bowler to enjoy some success, claiming two wickets, while the rest of the attack endured a difficult outing.

Faced with the daunting task of chasing 293, East Delhi Riders needed an extraordinary effort with the bat. However, the pressure of the required run rate and disciplined bowling from the Warriors proved too much to handle.

The Riders were eventually bowled out for 144 in just 11.2 overs despite a few spirited contributions. Jasmeet Nain emerged as the standout performer for his side, hammering 31 runs off only eight balls in a fearless counter-attack. His efforts, coupled with his contribution with the ball, earned him the Fighter of the Match award.

Sujal Singh chipped in with 26 runs, while Super Sub Vaibhav Baisa also scored 26. Ajay Yadav remained unbeaten on 24, but the chase never truly gained momentum as wickets fell at regular intervals.

Outer Delhi Warriors' bowlers complemented their batting heroics with an equally impressive performance. Pratham Saluja led the attack with three wickets, while Siddhant Sharma, Aman Chaudhary and Shivam Sharma claimed two wickets each to dismantle the East Delhi Riders batting line-up.

For his extraordinary innings of 125 off 37 balls, Himmat Singh was named Man of the Match. The awards were presented by V.P. Sareen, President of the Goswami Ganesh Dutt Memorial Society, Vikas Katyal, Director of the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA), and Chandrashekhar, CEO of Outer Delhi Warriors.

Earlier, in the first semi-final, Collage Sports Club displayed an impressive all-round performance to defeat Bal Bhawan Cricket Academy by 22 runs and secure the first berth in the final.

After being put into bat, Collage Sports Club posted a challenging total of 208 for 8 in 17 overs, thanks largely to a scintillating innings from Swastik Chikara. The stylish batter smashed 78 runs off only 33 balls, peppering the boundary ropes with seven fours and seven sixes in a match-defining knock.

Lalit Yadav also played a crucial supporting role, contributing a valuable 44 from 20 deliveries to keep the scoreboard moving at a brisk pace.

For Bal Bhawan Cricket Academy, Mayank Rawat emerged as the most successful bowler with figures of 3 for 21, while Arjun Rapria chipped in with two wickets.

In reply, Bal Bhawan Cricket Academy mounted a spirited chase and remained in contention for large parts of the innings. Kartik Sidhu led the fightback with a magnificent 57 off 26 balls, an innings studded with two boundaries and six towering sixes.

Arjun Rapria contributed an unbeaten 42, while skipper Yajas Sharma added 29 runs. Despite their efforts, Bal Bhawan Cricket Academy fell short of the target and finished on 186 for 8 in their 17 overs.

Collage Sports Club's bowlers produced timely breakthroughs to halt the chase. Ajit was the chief destroyer, claiming four wickets for 20 runs in a match-winning spell. Sumit Kumar, Swastik Chikara, Rajneesh Dadar and Arun Chaprana provided excellent support by taking one wicket apiece.

Swastik Chikara's all-round performance of 78 runs and one wicket earned him the Man of the Match award, while Kartik Sidhu received the Fighter of the Match honour for his valiant half-century.

The awards were presented by DDCA League Committee member Anil Passi, Vishal Razdan, Director Arvin Mehta and Agnesh Surya of the Goswami Ganesh Dutt Memorial Society.

With both teams producing dominant displays in the semi-finals, the stage is now set for a high-voltage final between Outer Delhi Warriors and Collage Sports Club. While the Warriors will rely on their explosive batting firepower led by Himmat Singh, Collage Sports Club will take confidence from their balanced all-round unit as the two sides prepare to battle for the coveted title of the 51st All India Goswami Ganesh Dutt Memorial Cricket Tournament on Sunday morning.
