Samarth Seth's ton powers Collage to win

Batting first, the left-handed opener Samarth made 103 off 53 balls as his team reached 238 in 20 overs

New Delhi: Samarth Seth scored a scintillating 103 not out off 53 balls to help Collage Sports Club beat Sporting CC by 66 runs in a DDCA T20 League match.

Batting first, the left-handed opener Samarth added 177 with Ankit Pratap Singh (88 off 53) for the first wicket as Collage set up a 239-run target in 20 overs.

In response Sporting were restricted to 172/9 in 20 overs. Lakshya Sangwan made 46 off 34 balls. Rohit Shyokand scored 45 off 20 balls. Spinner Rajesh Sharma took 4/20 in four overs. Vishnu took 3/19.

Seth, who represented Purani Dilli 6 last season and played some good knocks was unlucky to miss out on a place in Delhi's T20 squad.

In another match, left-arm batsman Ajay Gulia smashed six fours off six balls in an over for Times of India as his 112 off 112 balls helped his team beat Ministry of I&B by nine wickets. I&B had made 220/4 in 20 overs but Times of India overcame the target in 18 overs, reaching 221/1 with nine wickets in hand.
