Yajas knock powers Bal Bhavan to Laxman Das Chhabra final

Bal Bhavan Dwarka produced a breathtaking batting display to chase down the mammoth target of 333/9 in just 25.5 overs

New Delhi: Powered by impressive batting performances from Yajas R Sharma and Dhruv Singh, Bal Bhavan Dwarka stormed into the final of the 41st All India Laxman Das Chhabra Memorial Cricket Tournament with a commanding seven-wicket victory over HCA Pioneer Cricket Club at the St. Stephen's Ground, Mori Gate.

Batting first, HCA Pioneer Cricket Club piled up an imposing 333/9 in 40 overs. Samant Jakhar led the charge with a superb unbeaten 75-run knock studded with seven fours and four sixes. Mayank added a valuable 65 runs, while Avneesh Sudha contributed 33 runs to the total.

For Bal Bhavan Dwarka, Suryakant Chauhan was the standout bowler with three wickets, while Arjun Raipuria chipped in with two scalps.

In reply, Bal Bhavan Dwarka produced a breathtaking batting display to chase down the mammoth target in just 25.5 overs, finishing at 336/3. Yajas R Sharma played a blistering unbeaten innings of 176 runs off only 74 balls, smashing 15 fours and 15 sixes. He was brilliantly supported by Dhruv Singh, who remained unbeaten on 105 off 49 deliveries, an innings laced with seven fours and eight sixes.

For his explosive match-winning knock, Yajas R Sharma received the Man of the Match award from Mohinder Chhabra, while Samant Jakhar was presented the Fighter of the Match award.
